GC was launched onto the scene following his remix of Merucry nominee Ghostpoet, who alerted Gilles Peterson of the young man’s presence. The subsequent album featured “James Blake-style vocals” amongst the music’s “smoothly bruised blues” [Guardian]. Further attention has been heaped on this youngster after his stunning remix of Lianne La Havas’s ‘Lost & Found‘. A “delicately spun remix that provides the perfect framework for La Havas’s love-worn voice to dance over” [Dummy].
London vocalist PY has burst out this year after her track, ‘Lungs’, took the internet by storm. The “emotional and mood driven number” [XL8R] , produced by George Fiztgerald, featured on her mixtape alongside material from Damu, Throwing Snow and Breton. Birmingham’s Arc Vel and Manchester Dj collective Generic Greeting also join us!
