Rough Shag presents Shields – live on Friday 28th June

Another dose of loud, proper music, heartier than an extra large cooked breakfast, manlier than Vladimir Putin. This month Rough Shag sees the return of Shields, who absolutely smashed Rough Shag the last time they played!

Avida Dollars and Weirds – live on Thursday 13th June

Avida Dollars headline our show, and their infamous live shows combine the best Ts in pop (Trash Talk+Taylor Swift) with the usual macho double decker crowdsurfs, 10 ft stage dives, broken teeth, human pyramids and inciting 14 year old girls into circle pitting with bearded blokes in their 50’s.
Support comes from Weirds, the latest group to emerge from Leeds’ Suburban Home Studio, that has had visits from the likes of Eagulls, Hookworms, Mazes, Spectrals, Joanna Gruesome and more…“With a growing reputation for explosive moments during their live show, Weirds are more than a one trick pony, despite forming in – albeit, a very beautiful – one horse town” [FAKE DIY]

Semi Detached Presents Fair Ohs, Cowtown and Brazinskas – live on Sunday 9th June

Semi Detached bring us another stonking show! Fair Ohs debut album, Everything Is Dancing, brought them to the attention of the music world, with rave reviews coming from Pitchfork, DiS, The Quietus and just about everyone else who picked it up… Their new record, Jungle Cats, is filled with voodoo funk grooves, hypnotic rhythms and enough hooks to open up an abattoir! Support comes from Cowtown and Brazinskas!
This one’s going to be fun…

One Cloud Of The Roofs presents Vondelpark and MT.Wolf – live on Thursday 6th June

Vondelpark’s new album Seabed [R&S Records] is the “fullest realization yet of the project’s immersive smoothness, but what helps Vondelpark’s debut album stand out in a deluge of “Radiohead quietstorm” is that full-band quality, the organic fluidity of a unit who’ve been playing together for years.” [PITCHFORK]

Support comes from dream folk band Mt.Wolf, one of the most exciting prospects around. “Their acoustic recordings are manipulated into sprawling cinematic electronics, gracefully layered beneath nods to the past (delicate folky guitars) and nods to the future (smouldering sub-bass)” [CLASH]

Movie Nights: Human Traffic – Saturday 4th May

Semi Detached Presents Big Deal – live on Thursday 2nd May

We’re happy to welcome back Big Deal. A lot has changed since their critically acclaimed debut album was released in 2011. They’re now touring with a full band, a sound inspired and honed during a visit to SXSW, and a new album recorded in the depths of a converted lighthouse vessel. Their new album June Gloom is very much a rock record, with honeyed melodies set to slacker anthems.
